Charging infrastructure provider NewMotion is making use of its partnership with Arval to integrate more European countries in its network. Norway will be the first in this joint initiative, with the UK or France to follow suit.
The partnership with fleet service Arval enables NewMotion to further its European expansion. Norway is the first country, joined by the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany, and the UK. Another 4 European countries are expected to be added to the charging network by the second quarter of this year.
Says Sytse Zuidema, CEO, NewMotion: “Our work with Arval leverages our network in Germany, UK and France and has taken us into Norway now and soon we will be adding 4 more European countries to our portfolio.”
This latest partnership with Arval, is in line with a cooperative strategy. For example, NewMotion recently started pilots with energy providers in the Netherlands as well as the UK reportedly to look into V2G applications.
Including the charge points from an open roaming agreement, NewMotion customers now have access to more than 70,000 EV charge points across 25 countries worldwide. Of those the Shell-owned company counts 30,000 private charge points across the Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK.
